- The European Society of Hypnosis consists of 36 Constituent Societies from 17 different countries throughout Europe, including over 10,000 professionals from the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology & allied professions. This website will keep you updated with the newest developments in professional hypnosis and organisations in Europe.
- The British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis provides training of health professionals by health professionals in the clinical uses of hypnosis and is a resource for both health professionals and members of the public who are seeking information about hypnosis.
- The British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis Scotland (BSMDH Scotland) aims to encourage and promote excellence in the use of Hypnosis by registered Medical and Dental practitioners; to advance scientific research, education and standards of practice in Hypnosis; and to advise others about the value, application, and ethical use of Hypnosis.
- The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis is the largest U.S. organization for health and mental health care professionals using clinical hypnosis.






- The Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) offers 2-day sedation courses in London for both dentists and nurses. The course for dentists is designed for practitioners who wish to commence the administration of sedation techniques and also as an update for those who wish to keep abreast of current professional standards. Mainstream techniques (intravenous midazolam and Relative Analgesia) are covered in detail.
- Postgraduate Certificate in the Clinical Management of Dental Anxiety (Scotland): A modular part-time course covering conscious sedation techniques and psychological anxiety management. Contact Mike Gow for more information (see email address on his website, Whatfear.com.
- Hypnosis Applied to Dentistry - UCL: This course at the Hypnosis Unit UK (formerly University College London Hypnosis Unit) can be studied at three levels, including two certificate levels and a diploma level. Again, contact Mike Gow for more details (see above).
- The RA Coach: Richard Charon runs very popular relative analgesia courses in the UK.
